Cinnamon Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips

Crispy Cinnamon Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips in a serving bowl

Cinnamon Sugar Air Fryer Banana Chips turn firm banana slices into a sweet, crisp snack with warm cinnamon flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 firm bananas, slightly underripe
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat the air fryer to 300°F for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the banana peels, then cut the fruit into thin, even rounds about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl until evenly mixed.
  4. Place the banana slices in a bowl and lightly coat them with coconut oil or melted butter.
  5. Add the cinnamon sugar and turn the slices gently so each piece gets a light coating.
  6. Arrange the banana rounds in one flat layer inside the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if needed.
  7. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes, turn the slices over, then air fry for another 7 to 8 minutes until golden and lightly crisp.
  8. Move the chips to a wire rack and let them cool fully so the texture can firm up.

Notes

  • Choose firm bananas because soft bananas hold too much moisture.
  • Keep the slices from touching or stacking in the basket for better crisping.
  • Cool the chips completely before placing them in an airtight container.
  • Store at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For the crunchiest texture, enjoy them the same day they are made.
