A crisp, tangy Apple Cider Vinegar drink stirred with lemon, honey, cinnamon, and ginger for a refreshing homemade sip.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz distilled or filtered water
  • 2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar with the mother
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey, or maple syrup/stevia for vegan option
  • 1 tsp cinnamon, ground or stick
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger, or 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • Ice cubes, as desired

Instructions

  1. Add the water, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, and ginger to a large glass.
  2. Stir well until the honey blends into the drink and the spices are evenly mixed.
  3. Fill a serving glass with ice, then pour the mixture over the cubes.
  4. Serve right away, preferably before breakfast or as a light drink between meals.

Notes

  • Choose raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar that includes the mother.
  • Begin with 1 teaspoon of vinegar per glass if the taste is new to you, then increase slowly.
  • Fresh lemon juice gives the drink a brighter, cleaner flavor.
  • For make-ahead prep, refrigerate the mixed drink without ice for up to 2 days.
  • Keep the vinegar diluted with water to make it gentler to sip.
