Chicken and Cabbage Salad Bowls with Sesame Dressing

Chicken and Cabbage Salad Bowls with sesame dressing and crunchy almonds

Chicken and Cabbage Salad Bowls combine crisp slaw, savory chicken, sweet sesame almonds, and nutty dressing in a fresh meal-prep lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12-ounce) package precooked seasoned chicken strips
  • 1/2 cup sesame dressing
  • 1 (9-ounce) package shredded cabbage slaw blend
  • 1/2 cup honey-sesame almonds

Instructions

  1. Slice the seasoned chicken strips into small, easy-to-eat pieces.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons of sesame dressing into each of 4 small containers with lids, then refrigerate them.
  3. Distribute the shredded slaw evenly among 4 individual containers. Add one-fourth of the chopped chicken and 2 tablespoons of almonds to each portion.
  4. Cover the salads and chill for up to 4 days. Add the reserved dressing and toss immediately before eating.

Notes

  • Keep the dressing apart from the salad during storage so the cabbage and almonds retain their crunch.
  • For a Trader Joe’s version, use Grilled Seasoned White Meat Chicken Strips, Organic Toasted Sesame Dressing, and Sesame Honey Almonds.
